THURSDAY, Nov. 3

8 a.m. Rotary Breakfast Meeting at the Sewanee Inn. For all alumni rotarians—join the local club for their regular meeting.

8:30 a.m. Morning Prayer St. Augustine’s Chapel.

8:30–10 a.m. Campus Tour and Information Session for high school students and families. As a Sewanee alumnus or alumna, you know a great deal about the University, but if you have college-bound children attending Homecoming with you, plan to attend one of the campus tours and information sessions sponsored by the Office of Admission. 9:30 & 11 a.m. Back to the Classroom Dust off your gown and join current Sewanee students as alumni are invited to sit in on one of the regularly scheduled academic classes.

Gown Library Collection The Order of Gownsmen is starting a “Gown Library” for gownsmen who cannot afford the gowns sold at the bookstore. The O.G. is also looking for alumni willing to hand down their gown and pass on one of Sewanee’s best traditions! If you want to put your old gown to good use, please donate it to the Gown Library. Feel free to include a note with your contact information or sharing what your gown means to you, so that the gownsman who receives it will be able to thank you directly. Donation drop will be at the Homecoming registration desk all weekend in McGriff Alumni House.

10 a.m. Dedication of Ayres Hall - Join us as we dedicate our newest residence hall named in honor of former Vice-Chancellor Bob Ayres. A reception will immediately follow the brief ceremony.

10 a.m.–noon Open House
 at the Ralston Listening Library, upstairs, duPont Library. Come enjoy some music in this world-class listening facility built in memory of beloved Sewanee professor Father William Ralston, C’51.

11 a.m.–1 p.m. Case Studies Office of Admission, Fulford Hall. Alumni with high-school aged children are invited to join Sewanee admission counselors for a window into the admission process at selective colleges and universities.

1–2:30 p.m. Alumni Hike on Caldwell Rim Trail in the upper reaches of Lost Cove. Come hike Sewanee’s newest trail and get a glimpse of the university’s recently-acquired property. To meet for the hike, follow signs to the trail beginning behind the Sewanee Market. (Turn left on Lake O’Donnell Road, turn right on Bob Stewman and go to the end for parking). Guided by favorite Professors Bran Potter, Ken Smith, and John Benson, director of the Sewanee Outing Program.

1:30–4 p.m. Open House at the Ralston Listening Library, upstairs, duPont Library.

2 p.m. Sewanee Village Plans, Come hear from Vice-President of Administration, Frank Gladu, as he shares the updated plans for making downtown Sewanee vibrant for students, community members, and visitors, sponsored by the Class of 1961.

2 p.m. Annual Math and Computer Science Lecture.

2 p.m. Book Signing Rush to Justice? by author Jerry Summers, C'63 at the McGriff Alumni House.

2–3:30 p.m. Campus Tour and Information Session

4-5 p.m., Herbarium and Biology Department OPEN HOUSE and 90th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION for Dr. George Ramseur. Meet in the Herbarium (Spencer Hall 171) to celebrate the publication of the Domain Flora, 20 years of the Plant Press, and the publication of Mary's Domain botany book which is a tribute to George Ramseur on the occasion of his 90th birthday

7:30 a.m. Fun Run for Alumni beginning at McGriff Alumni House. Start the day with a 5 K to the Cross and back.

8 a.m.–noon Registration at the McGriff Alumni House on Georgia Avenue. Make this your first stop on the Domain for Homecoming. Meet this year’s award winners. 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Carey Fellows Reunion Brunch sponsored by the Babson Center for Global Commerce.

11 a.m.–1 p.m. Delta Tau Delta Alumni Luncheon and Open House at the Delt House. Come meet the active chapter and enjoy a light lunch. Families are welcome.

11:30 a.m. Pre-Game Tailgate Party with live music at the alumni tent near the McGriff Alumni House. Come gather before the parade for this tailgate party.

11:30 a.m. Young Alumni Tailgate Party with live music under the alumni tent near the McGriff Alumni House.

12:45 p.m. Homecoming Parade Find your class banner and join your classmates on Georgia Avenue to march to the game. Follow the marching band in oldest to youngest class order. When the marching band starts, it’s time to lineup!

1:30 p.m. Homecoming Football Game vs. Millsaps College at Hardee McGee Field.

1:30 p.m. The Concession Stand at the football field is run by Housing Sewanee Inc.—Sewanee’s version of Habitat for Humanity. Proceeds go directly to purchase building materials for client homes. Please stop by during Homecoming and buy a delicious hotdog and Coke.

1:30 p.m. Carillon Tour in historic Shapard Tower. Get a bird’s eye view of the Sewanee campus with this informative tour.

4:30–7 p.m. All Alumni Post Game Barbeque and Concert under alumni tent near the McGriff Alumni House with live music by Radney Foster, C'81.  Sure to be a highlight!
